In line with Delhi government’s vision to develop the national capital’s rural belt and those areas that were left behind, Minister Kapil Mishra on Monday said the eleven villages that are part of the Karawal Nagar assembly constituency would be transformed by the end of this year.

Mishra, who is Delhi’s development minister and the MLA from Karawal Nagar on Monday inaugurated civil projects for roads & streets construction worth Rs 3 crore in Sabhapur area of the constituency.

Addressing the public on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony, Mishra said that the all-round development of Karawal Nagar is a priority, and the goal is to ensure that every street and every neighborhood of the area is well connected to the pace of development, making the lives of people more convenient and better.

He further said that although it has only been six months since the new government came to power, the transformation of this area has already begun.

He assured the public that by the end of this year, not a single one of the eleven villages of Karawal Nagar will be left without paved streets and proper drainage construction.

Speaking on the much-awaited Rs 100 crore sewer line project in the area, Mishra announced that on September 7, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Water Minister Parvesh Verma will inaugurate the same.

He further assured that within three months, work on the remaining areas will also begin, ensuring proper water drainage, which will bring a lot betterment for the people.

Mishra also shared that the process of doubling the Pushta road (along the Yamuna bank) in the area is also progressing rapidly under the present state government.

Highlighting the health infrastructure plans for the area, the minister said that under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, eleven Arogya Mandirs will be opened in the constituency by the end of this year.

He also mentioned that projects related to the installation of cameras and streetlights are moving forward at a fast pace. Additionally, the ambitious project of the Government of India to introduce cruise operations on the Yamuna River will soon be implemented.

In the coming days, significant improvements in roads, sewerage, healthcare, and public facilities will be visible, directly benefiting every citizen, he added.
